It is interesting to explain how the job done by so many companies and so many insiders works.
The first gesture is made by us citizens, by commercial, industrial and artisanal activities, and that is to separate the collection of paper and cardboard.
So paper waste is collected and transported to mechanical recycling plants to be processed.
The vehicles then unloads the paper and cardboard waste previously collected in special areas. Then, by conveyor belts, they are sent to the selection operations, both mechanical and manual, to eliminate all those materials that are not paper, such as plastic, metals or other materials.
At the end of the manufacturing process, the paper is pressed to obtain gigantic bales, of different types of paper, weighing about one ton. Through this activity, the paper, which must meet specific legal standards, is no longer waste but an “End of Waste” raw material, the so-called “waste paper”, which is then sent to the downstream paper industry .
I have tried to summarize in a few words a cycle, which in some respects is very complex, which is carried out by about hundreds of companies that represent an industrial reality that has made our country a leader in this sector.
